Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan accuses the PSD leader, Sorin Grindeanu, of "lying" regarding the government and the relationship with AUR, warning that a "PSD-AUR type majority, or a similar arrangement, could follow, openly or behind the scenes".
He emphasized that those who vote for changing the government, without presenting solutions, risk returning to a precarious economic situation, considering that Romania is in a post-budget crisis period. Bolojan criticized the rhetoric of the PSD president, accusing him of lies related to collaboration with AUR, which contradict previous statements. He mentioned that, in the current context, a possible PSD-AUR majority is taking shape, which could have serious consequences for the management of the country.
"Consider that Mr. Grindeanu has lied, throughout this period, not only about government issues but simply about political projects with AUR. And he has a statement, I believe that when he was in Brussels, that there would be no political collaboration with AUR, demonizing this party. And now, we see that there is a political collaboration action for this motion. Consider that under the conditions where this is the attitude, the question arises as to what they will do next. Because if this rhetoric, that it is just a temporary collaboration, were to stand, under the conditions where the other parties, at least there are unequivocal statements from PNL and USR, that in such a situation they will no longer be in a coalition with PSD, the question arises as to what will happen after these things. The only conclusion is that we will very likely have a PSD-AUR type majority, or a similar arrangement, openly or behind the scenes. And then they must take responsibility for how they manage these matters", said Prime Minister Bolojan.
Bolojan concluded that, "currently, they are at the chapter of demolitions" of the existing political structures.
