Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan criticized Bogdan Ivan, former Minister of Energy, after he alarmed public opinion regarding the possible disconnection of some large industrial consumers from the National Energy System.

Bolojan stated that the information presented by Ivan was taken out of context and does not reflect reality, as the notifications received by companies are part of legal procedures meant to protect household supply in case of energy deficit.

The Prime Minister explained that these notifications do not indicate an imminent energy crisis, but are preventive measures.

Bolojan described Ivan's reaction as irresponsible, warning that it could generate panic and negative effects on the economy.

Ivan, on the other hand, argued that these notifications represent an attack on Romania's economic security, highlighting the negative impact on factories and jobs.

Bolojan reaffirmed that such behaviors are unacceptable from former officials.
