Bolojan criticizes the appointment of Adrian Veștea as prime minister, considering him the "weak link".

Lie Bolojan, the president of PNL, expressed harsh criticism towards the designated prime minister Adrian Veștea, during the evening news show Jurnalul de Seară on Digi24, accusing him of a lack of collegiality and disrespect for the party.

Asked why he believes Nicușor Dan appointed Adrian Veștea for the position of prime minister, Bolojan emphasized that Veștea's nomination was a strategic choice, considering him the "weak link" in the current political context.

Bolojan stated that Veștea did not inform the PNL leadership about his nomination for the position of prime minister, which highlighted a rift between him and the party.

Within the National Political Bureau, Veștea refused to submit his mandate in case PNL does not support him, which caused discontent among his colleagues. Bolojan also criticized the way Veștea related to the party congress, suggesting that he should have clearly distanced himself from PNL.
