Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan discussed the tense meetings between the leaders of the former coalition and President Nicușor Dan, stating that they were characterized by differences of opinion, not open conflicts. Bolojan rejected the idea that Sorin Grindeanu had exhibited aggressive behavior, mentioning that he only responded to his statements. During the 'Friendly Fire' podcast, Bolojan criticized the way political discussions are presented, emphasizing that distorted information affects public perception.

He also challenged Grindeanu's position, who denied the right of center parties to propose candidates for the position of prime minister. Bolojan suggested that a fair approach would involve multiple prime ministerial alternatives, based on a prior political agreement, to ensure a transparent and balanced political competition in forming the government.

"No. Mr. Grindeanu had an intervention in which he responded to some of my statements. There are, you know, two categories of people, people who leak all sorts of discussions that have nothing to do with what is there or are partially a combination of truth and lies, but which derail the discussions. I have never done that. And people who maintain a certain decency and a certain confidentiality of such discussions. I don't think it's appropriate to report. He didn't yell at me, but he gave me a reply. That's a different situation," said Ilie Bolojan during the 'Friendly Fire' podcast, hosted by Vlad Petreanu and Moise Guran.
