Former president Traian Băsescu stated that Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan is leaving the coalition after Ciprian Ciucu's victory in the elections for the Capital City Hall. Băsescu emphasized that, in the event that the PSD candidate, Băluță, had won, the PSD leader, Grindeanu, would have had a much stronger position in the coalition. Băsescu mentioned that, although the coalition must negotiate every step, the responsibility for decisions belongs to Prime Minister Bolojan, not to other members of the coalition.
