The president of AUR, George Simion, together with the leaders of the parliamentary groups of the party, will submit a legislative initiative to the Permanent Bureau of the Senate to exempt constructions intended exclusively for the primary agricultural production process from building tax. This includes greenhouses, solar panels, nurseries, mushroom farms, and feed silos. AUR argues that these constructions cannot be considered commercial or industrial activities, having an operational role without independent economic value.
In the current economic context, taxing these buildings represents an unjust fiscal burden for farmers. Eliminating the tax would contribute to a predictable framework, encouraging the modernization of agricultural facilities, essential for food security and the sustainable development of agriculture. The legislative initiative aims to amend the Fiscal Code to align the tax regime with the realities of the agricultural sector and to protect producers in the agri-food field.
