The Alliance for Uniting Romanians (AUR) has lodged a complaint with the Romanian Constitutional Court (CCR) regarding the Austerity Law, considering it unconstitutional and harmful for Romanians.

AUR has filed an unconstitutionality complaint with the Constitutional Court against the Law on fiscal-budgetary measures adopted by the Bolojan Government, on the grounds that it is toxic and deeply unfair. The party accuses the government of abuse of power by assuming responsibility without parliamentary debate, claiming that the law seriously affects millions of Romanians, eliminating facilities for families and freezing salaries. AUR considers that the law paves the way for authoritarian rule and calls for its rejection by the CCR. AUR's motion of no confidence against the government failed to pass in parliament.
