The designated Prime Minister Adrian Veștea has completed the Government Program for the period 2026-2028, a 68-page document that addresses economic, social, and security challenges with responsible actions and structural reforms. Veștea emphasizes that his Cabinet's priorities will include the implementation of the SAFE Program, the completion of the PNRR, accession to the OECD, and strengthening national security.
The program aims to strengthen public finances, modernize administration, and improve services for citizens. The Prime Minister states that he will honestly evaluate the adopted measures and eliminate legislative blockages for effective implementation.
Additionally, he will focus on investments in defense and infrastructure, alignment with OECD standards, and absorption of European funds. Veștea promises responsible governance, based on financial discipline and respect for citizens, with the aim of ensuring stability and development for Romania. The program will be submitted to Parliament for approval.
