In a joint statement, the presidents of the Romanian Courts of Appeal, including Florica Roman from the Oradea Court of Appeal, have harshly criticized Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan's statements about premature retirements of magistrates. They claim that his statements are false and based on erroneous data, turning a legitimate discussion about pensions into a campaign to discredit magistrates. The judges pointed out that the average retirement age is around 52, contrary to Bolojan's claim that 90% of magistrates retire at 48.
