Why not take the good lessons from the paradigm shift initiated by President Donald Trump in relation to Europe.
If faced with a possible rupture of the power-based + legitimate order, Europe is awakened from lethargy, drowsiness, self-sufficiency, strategic laziness and will result in:
1. A more united Europe and a European political body closer to the federal model
2. A Europe with a stronger economy, producing more at home and engaging in more diversified free trade with the whole world to ensure the prosperity of its citizens
3. A Europe with a stronger own army, capable of ensuring complete security for its citizens and projecting power + legitimacy globally
4. A completely independent Europe in all respects that offers Member States the opportunity to be part of a great power that makes the rules, as an alternative to a collection of small states played at that roulette.
5. A Europe in which member nations have their own identity protected within the family of the European superpower that guarantees dignity, respect, security, freedom, and well-being for all its members, regardless of culture and the language they speak…
In 30 years, we might remember Donald Trump as that American president who made everything possible, waking us up at the eleventh hour from the deep sleep of lethal comfort. He might even deserve a statue for that, regardless of his initial intentions.
So why not be optimistic and take the good side – of things.
Maybe at the end of the day we will raise our hands in the air and shout in unison: "Thank you, President Trump!"
P.S. A strong Europe, an equal partner in all respects, with a strong America could be the best news for the free world in the next century.
