The 3-month ROBOR index fell to 6.72% per annum, influencing the cost of consumer loans in lei with variable interest rates.

According to the NBR, the 3-month ROBOR index fell from 6.75% to 6.72% per annum and the 6-month ROBOR fell to 6.85%. The ROBOR was 5.92% at the start of the year and has since risen. The benchmark consumer credit index (CCCI) is 5.55% p.a., similar to the previous quarter. This fall in the index may reduce costs for borrowers.
