PPC, a major energy supplier in Romania, clarifies the impact of the removal of the energy price cap, which will come into force on July 1, 2025. This temporary measure capped electricity costs, but customers will pay the real market price after its expiry. The price is expected to increase from RON 0.68/kWh to RON 1.57/kWh. PPC also offers options for new customers, including green energy packages, with prices between 1.36 and 1.44 lei/kWh. Customers can check details in their myPPC account or by contacting customer service.
