According to NSI data, July 2025 brought significant price hikes in Romania, with electricity up 62.97% and fresh fruit up 39.74%. Food commodities rose by an average of 7.67% and annual inflation reached 7.84%. In contrast, sugar and potatoes became cheaper. For non-food goods, heating energy rose by 13.63% and in the services sector, CFR transportation tariffs increased by 16.92%.
