Employees in the government's working secretariat have reported that the head of the prime minister's chancellery has asked for lists of people who could be made redundant. Although Mihai Jurca, head of the chancellery, denies that he asked for specific names, he did ask for activity reports and proposals for downsizing. Jurca emphasizes that the aim is efficiency, without a fixed target of redundancies, and that each department must come up with justified proposals.
