Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has announced a reorganization of the administrative apparatus at the Victoria Palace, aiming at a 30-40% staff reduction. Civil servants in the Prime Minister's Chancellery are the first to be targeted, being forced to take part in competitions to keep their jobs. The General Secretariat of the Government is also to be restructured. Bolojan wants to set an efficiency model for other ministries, and employees have already been informed about the changes.
