About 74,500 homes were sold in Romania in the first half of 2025, a decrease of 3.4% compared to the same period in 2024. Bucharest saw a 10% decrease, while Ilfov increased by 5%. New housing deliveries in Bucharest hit a historic low, affecting sales. Constanța became the largest regional market, with a 23.6% increase in sales. In contrast, Cluj recorded a 12.7% increase and Timis a 4.5% decrease. SVN Romania, the real estate consultancy that conducted the analysis, highlights the problems in Bucharest's residential market.
