<p>The Minister of Education emphasized that Romania is facing a serious crisis, as the Prime Minister said, and that it is essential to take immediate action to avoid the country from being stuck in a deadlock. In the field of education and research, he said there would be no layoffs or salary changes in the short term. David insisted on the need to respect commitments on salaries and stressed the importance of allocating funds for education and research, promising that the 1% of GDP for these areas will be respected by 2030.
