Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that, according to the commitments made, the budget for Defense will gradually increase, estimating an allocation of 2.3% of GDP by 2026. He emphasized the importance of NATO membership for Romania's security, but stressed the need to develop its own defense capabilities. Bolojan mentioned that future acquisitions, including through the loan from the SAFE program, will contribute to strengthening Romania's defense in the context of current challenges.
