Banca Transilvania signed the contract for the takeover of OTP Bank Romania, the transaction being subject to the approval of the Competition Council.

The transaction by which Banca Transilvania intends to take over OTP Bank Romania and other companies within the OTP Romania Group is still pending the approval of the Competition Council. After obtaining the necessary approvals, Banca Transilvania will merge with OTP Bank Romania. The Banca Transilvania Group sees this acquisition as an opportunity to strengthen its leading position in the Romanian banking market.
