Tim Cook has left the position of CEO of Apple after 15 years, announcing his retirement through a video on Instagram and a message on X. In his message, Cook expressed his gratitude to his colleagues, emphasizing that although his title may change, his love for the company remains constant.

He will continue to work at Apple as executive chairman of the board. Cook announced in April that he would resign at the end of August, and John Ternus, former senior vice president of hardware engineering, will succeed him as CEO.

Tim Cook became CEO in August 2011, after the resignation of Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple. Cook was brought into the company in 1998 by Jobs, having an outstanding professional journey within the tech giant.
