At the most recent conference with investors, Mark Zuckerberg, the head of Meta, announced that Threads, the company's new social network, has reached 150 million daily active users, a significant increase from 100 million in December. Additionally, the platform surpassed 400 million monthly users in August. Zuckerberg expressed confidence that Threads has the potential to become the next social network to exceed one billion users. The increase in the number of users has been accompanied by a 10% increase in time spent on the platform, attributing this to the AI-based recommendation system. Along with the expansion of users, Meta is preparing to introduce global ads and video ads on Threads.
