NASA has announced that the Artemis 2 mission rocket will be removed from the launch pad due to a technical issue related to helium supply on the upper stage of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket. This decision, anticipated by NASA chief Jared Isaacman, means that the launch window in March is practically closed, and the launch is postponed at least until April. The rocket will be transported to the Vehicle Assembly Building for repairs.

The initial launch window was scheduled between March 6 and 9, and the next potential dates are April 1, April 3-6, and April 30. The helium issue is crucial for the proper functioning of the upper stage, which requires adequate pressurization to maintain the necessary conditions for the engine. This is not the first time that Artemis missions have faced delays due to technical issues, similar to the delays encountered by Artemis 1.
