The negotiations between Samsung and Perplexity could lead to the integration of Perplexity AI on Samsung smartphones, starting with the Galaxy S26 series. Samsung will pre-install the Perplexity app and add it as a search option in its browser. This collaboration could turn Perplexity into the default assistant on Samsung devices, and the Korean company could become a major investor in the Perplexity startup, which is seeking $500 million in funding.
