Dacia has started testing for its new electric model, which will replace the Dacia Spring, a popular city vehicle in Europe. The launch is scheduled for the second half of the year, and the new model will be built on the Renault Twingo E-Tech platform, featuring a more sober design. Dacia has decided to manufacture this model in Europe to reduce dependence on imports from China. The prototype caught in testing shows similarities to the Renault Twingo E-Tech, but with aesthetic modifications inspired by the Duster and Bigster styles. The estimated price for the new Dacia electric vehicle will be under 18,000 euros, thus maintaining the most affordable electric option on the market. The new model will retain the 27.4 kWh battery but will offer an improved range of approximately 240 km. Additional features will be limited to keep costs low.
