Elon Musk and X Corp have agreed to a tentative settlement to end a lawsuit by former Twitter employees, who are seeking $500 million in damages.

The tentative settlement was served on a US federal court, postponing a hearing scheduled for September. The former employees, who complained that Twitter offered them less compensation than promised in 2019, filed the lawsuit after Musk laid off about 6,000 employees. The settlement could end the litigation following a federal judge's dismissal of the class action in July 2024.
