Meta Platforms has confirmed it is suspending hiring in its new artificial intelligence division as part of a reorganization aimed at optimizing team structure. The decision, which came into effect last week, comes after massive investment in attracting talent, including the acquisition of a significant stake in startup Scale AI. The company has split its AI business into four teams under the 'Meta Superintelligence Labs' umbrella, with the aim of developing superintelligence. Analysts believe that this pause does not indicate a reduction in investment, but a need to integrate the new teams.
