Meta has announced the launch of paid subscriptions for its top applications, a strategic move to reduce dependence on advertising.

Product director, Naomi Gleit, presented these offers on Instagram, called Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus, which provide additional analytics features and extended audience access, costing $3.99 per month. WhatsApp Plus, available for $2.99 per month, focuses on personalization, including premium stickers and custom themes. Meta's long-term goal is to integrate these packages into a unified offering, Meta One.

This launch comes amid close monitoring from investors, considering the company's massive spending in the field of artificial intelligence, with estimated expenses between $125 and $145 billion this year.

Meta's shares rose by over 3% on Wall Street, and in 2023, the company introduced paid and ad-free versions for European users, in accordance with EU data protection legislation.
