Apple is developing an advanced version of its Siri assistant, capable of controlling apps with voice commands, including third-party apps.

Apple is testing an enhanced version of its Siri voice assistant that will allow users to control both its own and third-party apps exclusively through voice commands. Apps being tested include Uber, Amazon, WhatsApp and others. Users will be able to perform actions such as finding and editing photos or posting to social networks without touching the screen. Although announced last year, the new Siri will officially launch next spring, with availability varying in different regions.
