A group of shareholders has sued Apple, accusing the company of securities fraud for exaggerating the integration of artificial intelligence into Siri. The shareholders, led by Eric Tucker, allege that the claims caused iPhone sales and share price to plunge, estimating losses of hundreds of billions of dollars. The complaint also names the company's leadership, including CEO Tim Cook. Since its all-time high in December 2024, Apple shares have lost nearly a quarter of their value.
