US giant Apple is expanding production of its iPhone 17 handsets in India, including at newly opened facilities, to reduce its dependence on China. All four iPhone 17 models will be manufactured in India, marking a first for the company. In the past four months, Apple exported $7.5 billion worth of iPhones from India, a significant increase from the previous fiscal year. Conglomerate Tata and Foxconn are playing a crucial role in this expansion, having a major impact on manufacturing in India over the next two years.
