Showrunner, a production platform based on artificial intelligence, intends to reconstruct 43 missing minutes from "The Magnificent Ambersons," a 1942 film by Orson Welles. The footage was destroyed by RKO after the film performed poorly in audience tests. Collaborating with director Brian Rose and visual effects expert Tom Clive, the project aims to demonstrate the positive contribution of AI in cinema. Although they do not hold the rights to the film, the goal is to explore what the film could have been in its original form.
