In an interview for France 2, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Vladimir Putin seeks to humiliate Europe, emphasizing that he does not fear Europeans. Zelensky mentioned that his relationship with French President Emmanuel Macron is one of friendship, but he expressed concern that European pressure on Russia is not sufficient.
"In Europe, life is beautiful, it is pleasant. That is why I say we are all fighting to defend this way of life. But today it is very clear that if Ukraine does not stop Putin, he will invade Europe. If we lose this war, we will simply lose the independence of our country. We have managed to keep it until now. Unfortunately, Putin does not fear Europeans. His interest is to humiliate Europe. But it is very important for Emmanuel to work to bring back peace. It will be beneficial for the whole world if there is no more war in Ukraine. But I believe that the pressure (from Europeans) on Putin is not enough." said in an interview with France2, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
