In an interview with Axios, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he does not intend to lead Ukraine during peacetime and that he will ask parliament to organize elections if a ceasefire is reached. Although elections have been postponed due to the war, he believes it is possible to hold elections under adequate security conditions. Zelensky, with rising popularity, emphasized the constitutional and security challenges, but is open to the idea of resigning to allow a new leader to govern in the post-conflict period.
