The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, is in Estonia to participate in the NB8 summit, where he is meeting with leaders from the Nordic and Baltic states, including Estonian Prime Minister Alar Karis.
The summit brings together Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, which are strong supporters of Ukraine in the context of the Russian invasion. Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal emphasized that discussions will focus on strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, increasing pressure on Russia, and ensuring security in Europe.
The eight countries have provided a joint aid of over 42 billion euros to Ukraine.
Another important topic will be the prevention of incidents with stray drones that have entered the airspace of the Baltic states and Finland, causing tensions with Russia.
