Data published by the Federal Statistical Office shows that young people make up just 10% of Germany's population, equivalent to around 8.3 million people. This proportion has remained constant since 2021, mainly due to youth immigration, particularly from Ukraine. Among the descendants of immigrants, the proportion of young people reaches 20.7%. There are significant regional differences, with the highest proportions in Bremen and Hamburg, and Germany has a lower proportion of young people than the EU average of 10.7%.
