Young people in Germany will organize protests on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Munich, Nuremberg, Augsburg, Regensburg, and Rosenheim, under the slogan “Generation Z takes control.” The demonstrations call for greater funding for school infrastructure, expanded psychotherapeutic support services and addiction prevention, as well as affordable housing.
Participants are also demanding a fair distribution of social responsibilities, reduced government surveillance, decisive environmental protection measures, and oppose the reintroduction of compulsory military service.
In Munich, the main protest is scheduled from 14:00 to 21:30 at Geschwister-Scholl-Platz, in the area of Ludwig Maximilian University. The estimated number of participants ranges from 1,000, according to the official notification, to more than 7,800 people interested online. The action will coincide with Halloween festivities and the Bayern Munich–Borussia Dortmund match.
In Nuremberg, two gatherings and a counter-demonstration have been announced, while rallies or marches are scheduled in Augsburg, Regensburg, and Rosenheim. Bavarian authorities have no information indicating preparations for violent acts and estimate that the protests will take place without serious incidents.
