The tragic accident involving Diogo Jota has sparked controversy, with two eyewitnesses, Jose Azevedo and Jose Aleixo Duarte, contradicting the authorities' claims that the car was speeding. Azevedo, who filmed the incident, said that the footballer was driving peacefully and that the road conditions contributed to the accident. The Lamborghini Huracan went off the road when a tire exploded, causing a fire. Jota was traveling to Santander to catch a ferry, having been advised by doctors not to fly after surgery.
