Aleksandar Vučić, the President of Serbia, stated that the CIA and the Israeli intelligence service Mossad would intervene in the internal situation in Iran, similar to Operation Ajax in 1953, when these agencies orchestrated the overthrow of the Iranian government to strengthen the power of Shah Reza Pahlavi. In an interview with Serbian television Pink TV, Vučić urged citizens to read the works "Operation Ajax" and "All the Shah’s Men" to understand what he considers to be a repetition of this historical pattern.

His statements have sparked controversy in Serbia, with analysts warning that such claims could strain the country's foreign relations, especially with the United States and Israel. Operation Ajax had a significant impact on politics in the Middle East and is often mentioned in discussions about Western influence in the region.
