The CEO of Volkswagen, Oliver Blume, announced the acceleration of the offensive in the electric vehicle market by launching compact models, including the ID. Cross, an electric SUV planned for the first half of next year, with a starting price of 25,000 euros. This is part of a new family of electric vehicles, aimed at increasing market share, where Volkswagen already holds 28% in Europe.
