Anti-government protests in Serbia have escalated, culminating in the devastation of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) headquarters in Novi Sad and violent clashes in Belgrade. Protesters, unhappy with Aleksandar Vucic's government, smashed windows and vandalized the SNS headquarters. Police used tear gas to disperse the crowd and several police and protesters were injured. The protests are part of a wider movement sparked by government corruption and calls for early elections following a recent tragedy in which 16 people died. Vucic has promised further arrests among protesters.
