American Vice President JD Vance will make a visit to Azerbaijan and Armenia next month, according to an announcement made by Donald Trump. This visit comes a few months after the signing of a peace agreement between the two countries, negotiated with the support of the United States.

Trump emphasized that Vance will promote "Trump's Path to International Peace and Prosperity," highlighting the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership with Azerbaijan. The peace agreement, signed in August, stipulates the renunciation of territorial claims and commitments to avoid the use of force. The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which has lasted for decades, was intensified by Baku's total control over Nagorno-Karabakh in 2023, leading to the exile of nearly 100,000 Armenians.
