The US Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that President Donald Trump can resume massive layoffs in the federal government, unblocking an executive order. The ruling upholds the Trump administration's plan to significantly cut staff at federal agencies, despite a temporary ban previously imposed by a California court. Although the court left open the possibility of challenges to specific agency plans, the ruling allows the staff cuts, which have been challenged by unions and organizations, to continue.
