Republicans have voted to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, whom they accuse of provoking a migration crisis at the US-Mexico border.

The vote was close, 214 for and 213 against. It's the first time in nearly 150 years that Congress has decided on such a sanction. However, the impeachment of Mayorkas remains unlikely given the Democratic majority in the Senate.
