The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, reacted to the criticisms made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who accused Europe of a lack of action. Von der Leyen emphasized that the European Union has been Ukraine's largest supporter in the last four years, providing over 193 billion euros and announcing an additional 90 billion euros for the next two years.

She stated that facts speak louder than words and acknowledged the sacrifices of the Ukrainian people, mentioning that the EU will continue to stand by them. Zelensky's criticisms, expressed in Davos, also targeted the lack of action regarding criminal prosecutions against Russia, highlighting a perception of inefficiency on the part of Europe.
