Antonio Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, stated on Tuesday that, according to available information, it is very likely that negotiations to end the conflict with Iran will be resumed. The President of the USA, Donald Trump, confirmed that discussions could take place in Pakistan in the next two days. Guterres emphasized the importance of continuing these negotiations, mentioning that he met with the Vice Prime Minister of Pakistan and appreciated his peace efforts. He added that it is unrealistic to expect such a complex issue to be resolved in a single negotiation session, highlighting the need to maintain a ceasefire during the discussions. Trump also praised the contribution of the Chief of the Pakistani Army, Marshal Asim Munir, in these negotiations.
