The operation, described as a success, targeted ships of the Black Sea Fleet that were sheltering in port.

Zelensky highlighted that this attack demonstrates Ukraine's ability to deploy a domestically developed attack arsenal, without relying on weapons supplied by the West.

Among the targets hit were the frigates "Admiral Essen" and "Admiral Makarov", as well as other vessels.

The attack also had effects on the infrastructure in Novorossiysk, causing damage to water pipelines and fires.
