A oil platform belonging to the Russian giant Lukoil, located in the Caspian Sea, was attacked on Friday with drones by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU). This is the third attack on platforms in the Caspian Sea in recent weeks, with the drones operated by the SBU's Alpha special operations center. The attacked platform is part of the Korzhaghin oil and gas field, which produced approximately 7.33 million barrels of oil in 2023. Additionally, the SBU announced a successful strike on a Russian oil tanker in the Mediterranean Sea, considered a legitimate target due to its role in evading sanctions imposed on Russia.
