Ukraine issued official apologies to Greece after a Ukrainian naval drone was found in Greek territorial waters, an incident that sparked protests from Athens.

The spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Heorhii Tîhîi, emphasized that this incident highlights the ongoing threat of Russian aggression not only to Ukraine but also to neighboring states. The drone, identified as a Magura V5 type, was discovered on May 7 by fishermen near the island of Lefkada and was handed over to the Greek Coast Guard.

Greece expressed concerns regarding national security and the impact on maritime traffic, urging Ukraine to avoid such actions in the future. Despite the incident, Ukraine reaffirms its commitment to friendly relations with Greece and respect for international law.
