Britain to build 12 nuclear submarines to replace current fleet amid strategic defense review and threats from Russia

Sir Keir Starmer announces the construction of 12 nuclear-powered attack submarines to replace Astute-class submarines as part of a strategic defense review. These submarines will be operational from the 2030s and will be part of a new nuclear deterrence strategy.
