Typhoon Yagi caused the death of 13 people in the Philippines and prompted the evacuation of 400,000 people in China. It reached speeds of up to 150mph and grounded Hong Kong airport, causing dozens of flights to be canceled. The typhoon is expected to make landfall in Hainan, affecting neighboring Guangdong province.
